WARRIOR OF EONE — CLERIC SUBCLASS / DIVINE DOMAIN

Warrior of Eone — Cleric Subclass / Divine Domain

Salorras Paragon: Warrior of Eone · Path: Apostle (Cleric) · Patron: Eone, the Lightbringer · Subclass type: Cleric Divine Domain, chosen at 3rd level

The Warriors of Eone were forged in the Era of the Second Moon as an elite force in the hands of the elves. As the elves’ civil war ended and the new elven peoples took their place in the world, the clergy of Eone raised a new order of warriors to meet the dangers of the age and shield the world while the doctrine of the Treefather took root after the cataclysm of the orilyni. Initiated from adolescence into elven tradition and the love of Eone, these warriors hold battle-tactics rarely matched in Salorras. Their martial training and divine power make them nearly unbeatable in formation, and they are renowned as living channels of Eone’s holy magic, sharing valor and strength with their allies.

Always pure of soul, the Warriors of Eone serve the good of the world as sleepless guardians against malice, ready to give their lives for it. Others name them “the defenders of history,” keeping Eone’s legacy and love alive. They are found across the world — in Eone’s temples, as officers and soldiers of Khalendianil, and as wanderers who hunt down evil.

Becoming a Warrior of Eone (roleplay, not a mechanical prerequisite)

You choose this domain at 3rd level with no in-game prerequisites. In the fiction a Warrior of Eone is almost always an elf of good heart, humble and selfless, who has served at least four months in a temple of Eone.

Note. As a 5e Cleric domain, the Warrior of Eone is a full Cleric drawing on the entire Cleric spell list, with the Eone Domain spells below always prepared.

6Grace of Eone, Channel Divinity: Inspire Fight
17Final Stand

Level 3 — Lightbringer’s Arms

Eone’s blessing makes you a holy warrior. You gain proficiency with Martial weapons and training with Heavy armor. In addition, you can cast Detect Evil and Good without expending a spell slot a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum once), regaining all uses on a Long Rest.

Level 3 — Channel Divinity: Smite of Eone

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one use of Channel Divinity to call down the Lightbringer’s wrath. The target takes an extra 2d8 Radiant damage (an extra 1d8 if it is a Fiend or Undead), and it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be Frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Level 6 — Grace of Eone

The god’s grace wards all who stand near you. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you add your Charisma modifier (minimum +1) to your saving throws, provided you aren’t Incapacitated. (This represents the Warrior of Eone channeling Eone’s protection; a character with low Charisma still grants at least +1.)

Level 6 — Channel Divinity: Inspire Fight

As a Bonus Action, you raise a war-cry to embolden your line. Expend one use of Channel Divinity; for 1 minute, you and each ally within 30 feet who can hear you gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and Advantage on saving throws against being Frightened. If a frightened ally is within range when you use this, it can immediately repeat the save ending the effect.

Level 17 — Final Stand

Living in full harmony with your creator, you become Eone’s shield over your companions. As a Bonus Action, you call upon the Lightbringer: you and each ally within 30 feet gain temporary Hit Points equal to your Cleric level, resistance to all damage until the start of your next turn, and Advantage on attack rolls and saving throws for 1 minute. You also can no longer be surprised while you are conscious (Divine Awareness).

Once you use Final Stand, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.

Falling from Grace (Ex-Warrior of Eone)

A Warrior of Eone who turns from the good is cut off from the god and, in the fiction, loses Eone’s favor until they undertake a quest of atonement set by Eone himself and spend another four months in his temple. Mechanically this is a story beat at the table’s discretion; restoring the bond restores the domain.

Ability Note

As a Cleric domain, the Warrior of Eone is keyed to Wisdom — your spellcasting, your Channel Divinity save DCs, and the Smite of Eone all scale with it. Strength is the close secondary that powers your weapon attacks and carries the Heavy armor that Lightbringer’s Arms grants, while a few points of Charisma widen the Grace of Eone aura.
