OLD-SCHOOL ESSENTIALS
Salorras for Old-School Essentials — Necrotic Gnome’s restatement of the classic B/X rules — using the Advanced Fantasy option: race and class are separate, so the nine species and five Paths combine just as they do in the other systems. Classes run to the B/X maximum of level 14, and Armour Class is given in OSE’s dual notation, descending first with ascending in brackets (AC 5 [14]).
The five Paths are classes — apostle → Cleric, armsman → Fighter, mage → Magic-User, scoundrel → Thief — with the legatee kept as a homebrew essencer class, since the essence subsystem is its reason to exist and B/X has nothing to fold it into. The Paragons are full level-1–14 classes in the old-school idiom, chosen at character creation with the order’s initiation woven into the character’s background: where an official Advanced Fantasy class matches, it is reskinned; where none exists, a custom class is authored strictly to B/X design conventions.
