Salorras has no magic-user spellbook for the essencer — the legatee’s power is not magic at all, but a bloodborne mastery of the body’s own essences. The essence catalogue is the essencer’s working repertoire — the B/X equivalent of a spell list — describing how essences are produced within the body, stored, and burned, and cataloguing each one.
